As we add cream onto the cake, it’s also able to more accurately recognize speech in that’s scattered amidst a whole lot of background noise.
Google’s Speech team has poured in accolades in the form of good words with respect to the advancements in voice search to the development of more effective neural network acoustic models:
“These models are a special extension of recurrent neural networks (RNNs) that are more accurate, especially in noisy environments, and they are blazingly fast!”
In the present era, Google search apps for iPhone and Android clearly showcase the enhancements made to the Google voice search. So far, Google’s new voice search engine hasn’t been integrated into mobile web browsers like Safari and Chrome, at least not on the iPhone.
In spite of that, people do not seem to be very concerned, as the Google Search app, not long ago was proclaimed to be the 4th most popular app in the United States.
Moreover, as per reports by comScore, the Google Search app seems to be growing with every passing year, now leaving Facebook looking up at them. Add to that, more than 30% of the phones now have this on their home screens. Quite an interesting feature, isn’t it?
